Sunrise @ Kolukkumalai

Kolukkumalai is the highest tea plantation in Munnar and in South India. Known for its terrain, tea plantation and sunrise point, its a must watch place in Munnar

Kolukkumalai is the worlds highest orthodox tea plantation currently managed by Harisson malayalam at approx 6500 to 8000 FT. you can actually view both tamilnadu and kerela towns from the hill top. Surprisingly we enter through kerela but the peak is at tamilnadu border.

Waking up in a misty munnar weather around 4 Am and with a bumpy jeep ride starting from Suryanelli @4.30 AM and an hour long rolercoaster ride its worth all the adventure for the view

There is another peak after the bumpy jeep ride called "Bose Peak" . we have to climb this peak for 360 view of sunrise

We are told this place will be entirely covered by thick misty clouds during December and early January. We could visualize it even now how it might looks from the below pic on other side of peak view
