It was a little trip to the Mountains, Munnar is a beautiful place where the mountain looks green in colour (look at pictures, you will get to know what I mean).
We started driving from Kochi at midnight and reached Munnar around 5 in the morning. It was such a scenic view with one side mountain covered in clouds and the other side lush green hills and tea plantation. I had only saw such aesthetic view in reel life before it was even more beautiful in real life. This place remains chilly throughout the year and has a pleasant weather during noon which is the best time for sightseeing. We stopped at a point to take a moment and feel the fresh breeze and enjoy watching the sunrise.
Then we went to look for a hotel as it was a random trip, we didn’t book one. Due to weekend, it was not that easy to find a decent hotel on that particular day. Do pre-check with hotels for safe side. We finally found an affordable and decent hotel room with amazing balcony view hotel; you know it's a great deal to find such balcony. From the balcony, you can see the sun and mountains and on the left side, you can enjoy city view.
We took nap and went to Taste The Brews café, little cosy place to have continental-style breakfast and tasting of tea and coffee. They do have outside seating area.
we decided to go a place but somehow ended up in The Lockhart Tea Museum which was not in our list, thanks to my direction skills. The place is actually not that bad (trust me). It’s a small old tea factory situated in picturesque location, where tea is made from conventional method. This is the best place for tea lover, the aroma of factory..just loved it and tour was informative gives you idea about how tea is processed and difference between white, green and black tea. I know it sounds boring but it was quite fun. Also, at the end there is hanging ship shaped restaurant and the edge they have small sitting area, you can have tea or ice-cream (ya they do have ice-creams) while enjoying the view.
while coming back we explored one more place it was on our way to town, The Photo Point- acres and acres of lush green cascading on mountains gives an awesome background to click pictures with exotic background. We clicked few pictures. I don't really have good pictures.
Then we went to Tea Tales Cafe, in the heart of Munnar. There you can enjoy your coffee, shakes, variety of tea or small bites while watching the town rush. it’s a calm in the chaos of Munnar and with good vibes.
That pretty sums up my trip to Munnar, I didn't explore much but that was bliss.
Pictures don't define the beauty of Munnar.
