The trip started from Kodaikanal, a hill station in South India. It was a kind of solo trip as I had booked a package so wasn't all alone there was a group but I didn't knew any of them. It was a YHAI trip, so I had to reach there on my own, I took a train to Combiatore than bus to Dindigul and from there bus to Kodaikanal. On 1st day I had to report at the base camp, all the facilities were arranged there for the participants.
I reached there by 4 in the evening and met all the other participants who had registered for the trekking, there were 11 participants including me, 2 groups of 8 people and 2 people and group leader of YHAI.
So that day I saw the local market there.
Next day we had to reach the Vellagavi village which was trek of 10 Kms.
We left from the hotel in the morning after having breakfast and taking packed lunch which was provided to us by the organising members, a cab was arranged for us which dropped us to Vattakal from there we had to trek to Vellagavi village. We had to trek down the hill to reach there, and the way was extremely beautiful, foggy weather, clouds everywhere and so much greenery.
After trekking we reached the Vellagavi village camp. We reached there by afternoon and visited the local in the evening and stayed there for the night in tents. Dinner was arranged for us. The village had a unique tradition, that the people didn't wear any footwear in the village. It was a fantastic experience to stay there. The population count of the village was only 250. The night we stayed there and the next morning we to trek back to the top to Vattakal.
We started in the morning and reached Vattakal by the afternoon as it was the same way we had trekked down yesterday, so it was not very interested but climbing up was not that much easy. At the top point a cab was waiting for us, which took us to Kurangani for the next trek.
By the evening we reached the base camp at kurangani, this was no network zone, no one's mobile was working.
There dinner was arranged and tents too.
Next day we had to trek to for 15 Kms to reach Munnar.
We started from the base camp in the morning, and the view during sunrise was amazing.
This trek was a little difficult as compared to the previous one. The we enjoyed a lot the.the view and photography everywhere.
We had to reach the to point which was Munnar.
Technically we crossed the Tamil Nadu-Kerela border, to reach Munnar during the Trek.
We reached the top station, Munnar by the afternoon and there the camp leader along with the cab was waiting for us. The cab took us to sight seeing in Munnar. After that in the evening we went to see cultural dance there.
