Kwang kung the Chinese temple. Yes the one and only Chinese temple in Mumbai is located in mazgaon. Our journey begin around 9 am in the morning and around 10.30 we reached the temple it took us 1 hour.30 minutes from bike. It is located near mazgaon dockyard. Kwang kung temple was build in 1919 by the Chinese community living there, however in 1962 because of the sino- Indian war many Chinese resident were forced to leave India. The temple is a pink colour two story house as to enter the house it will give you the feeling of that old Chinese houses the stairs are made of wood. There are paintings of the 3 God's which symbolises blessing, longevity and prosperity. On ground floor there is also a temple but at this time there is some renovation.work going on in there so I suggest better not go now. As you go upstairs in the temple the moment you open the door the view is just mesmerizing. The temple is painted in red colour even the doors. Over there we will get to see the real Chinese culture there are even notes written in Chinese. This is a must visit place in Mumbai
Even if we can't go to China. Mumbai has it's own little China Town😉. I'm repeating again there is some renovation work going on so it will be better to go after sometime. The next stop was manjit chole Puri at sion kholiwada. We reached in 30-40 mins. It is a small food joint which serves some delicious Punjabi chole bhature, different variety of kulchas. Who doesn't love hot hot chole bhature. The chole bhature was yum chole was not that spicy everyone can eat it. And the paneer kulcha was super tasty it was soft and taste super. And not to forget lassi not to sweet and taste good. If you are in sion than give a visit to this place once even the price is pocket friendly. Chole bhature was around 50rs and kulcha was of 70 rs.😋😋
