The bustling city of India 'Mumbai', the city of dreams and the city which never sleeps; where you find things changing spontaneously, where life, time and people go so fast that we are never able to keep a hang of it. In this sprightly city there is a lost arc of time in the deep corners, wrapped by high rise residential and commercial concrete jungle. The time where the city was under the dominance of British rulers, wealthier families. Where in the moving time the city lost its essence too. As a traveller we not only look forward to explore the monuments, people, culture or food but we also look forward to find such places where we are taken back into the time of the occurrence of the history where we get a curiosity of what have happened here and how things must have changed.

Among this time lapse there is one significant structure standing in the middle of the city which people do see but ignore and pass by rather than appreciating its beauty. For the locals it's just an abandoned bungalow but for the travelers it's kind of a time travel and only for those whose imagination knows no bound.

In Mumbai this bungalow is present in Worli which is known as one of the posh and rich colonies of Mumbai and counted as the most important hub for marketing and entertainment industry. This bungalow belongs to a Parsi family the name which even I can't recollect. It was a part of my architecture project, the client wanted to propose a hospital within the structure which I thought was not a proper justice to this beautiful structure

As a traveller we always search for an essence of a particular city, town or village. It is said that architecture, food and people are the ways where we understand the true culture and identity of a place. However in Mumbai we could visit only particular places which are selectively preserved as a heritage and where we miss some pieces of those vintage era. The bungalow was present since the british rule in India which is reflected in the facade of the structure itself.
