Mumbai the city of dreams, a city which never sleeps has many shades of colour and culture. But the southern part of Mumbai which extends from Coloba to Mahim has its own identity. Popularly known as Town or SoBo still holds its old world charm. On the Mumbai Harbour waterfront stands the iconic Gateway of India, built by the British in 1924 sets the ambience in the south and on the northern tip of SoBo lies the Mahim dargah. This entire stretch has a wide mixture of ethnicity and vibes.
So when you are in South Mumbai, start your day by visiting the Gateway of India. Situated at Apollo Bunder and surrender by the Arabian sea, is the place where the soul of a tourist lies and here don't forget to get clicked by paying only thirty rupees. Next from here catch a ferry to reach the magnificent Elephanta caves. These rock cut caves from the ancient times are a must visit place. After this it's time for some tasty food and a pinch of pocket friendly shopping. So just head to the Colaba Causeway and boom you will be in a middle of a place full of mouth watering street food and crazy shopping arena. After all  this long day of exploring it's now time to head towards Marine Drive or the "Queen's Necklace" to sit , relax, enjoy with your friends and family and end the day with the gorgeous view of the Mumbai skyline.
