Mumbai the city of dreams need many days or months or say years to experience it's magic. But that doesn't keep you explore it even in a single day.
So here it is what I did on a Saturday in Mumbai city.
My day started very early in the morning and
1- I headed to The Gateway of India to see sunrise and golden sunlight covering the whole area.
2- Starting from Gateway of India, walk around the place go by the hotel Taj Palace, flora fountain, colaba causeway..get a feel of it.
3- Have breakfast in some old cafe like I did...I chose Leopold cafe to have my breakfast.
4- After breakfast. I took a taxi and checked out Chatrapati Shivaji Terminas, Metro theatre, Library, all old and new buildings and architecture.
5- To refresh myself and to beat the direct afternoon Sun, I checked out Inox laserplex and watched movie there. It saved me walking under the sun in hot weather.
6- I am a photographer, theatre artist and if you also have calling for some creativity, don't forget to visit Jahangir art gallery, museum and/or Piramal art gallery when you are nearby. There was photography exhibition that day in which I took part, so after movie, I headed towards piramal art gallery and had a good time there.
7- In the evening I walked around Nariman point which is just opposite the gallery. Took photos, made reels, walked from Nariman point, Marin driver. You can have coconut water. Just sit there calmly. Watch the waves. Go to Chaupati, have fun there.. eat Gola, make tattoo, or draw mehandi, eat bhutta. Just enjoy the whole evening and night there. Marine drive has to be seen in the night when you can see the queen's necklace.
8- Have your dinner there, there are many good restaurants. I had a craving to eat Japanese food that day, so I went to umami which is near Nariman point by taxi. There is veg restaurant Samrat, and a bakery outside it. It's food and ambience is good when you are with your whole family, kids. Then pizza by the way is good for grabbing dinner anytime or with friends. Enjoy your dinner. And don't forget to eat kulfi from New Kulfi Center established in 1960. The shop is near Girgaon chaupati and it offers best kulfi of the town.
So this is my one day in Mumbai especially in south Mumbai. Try this itinerary and connect me for more details.
Enjoy!
