Whoever said money can't buy everything certainly didn't know where to shop, but don't worry you certainly will.... after reading this blog ;) :)

When in Mumbai and you have OUTFIT STRESS? JUST SAY YES TO A NEW DRESS !!!

Infact.... not only dresses, but a lot more in your wish list could certainly be found,adored and checked.

For convenience, the places for shopping are listed down below, according to the so called, stations in Mumbai.

1. Borivali (west):-

Soooo... many places outside Borivali station(west), & one can get almost all types of clothes/handbags/foot wears, etc.

Few malls outside the station:

Indraprasth: good for men/women/kids clothes (both Indian/Western),etc.

Also, at the basement of this mall, find loads and loads of mobile repairing and selling shops, at guaranteed cheap prices.

Thakkar: Mainly good for western clothes for men and women.

Moksh and Kalapi are mainly good for finding Bridal lehengas. Besides, in Moksh one can find designer blouses, sarees, gowns, laces, imitation jwellery, etc.

@Moksh mall one can also find huge varieties of shops for western wears, Kurtis, kurtas, etc.

Apart from these malls, one could do ample of street shopping as well. You'll find jeans, t-shirts, footwear, Kurtis, handbags,Maxis, blouses, etc for ladies at super cheap prices. Also, you'll find a shop nearby to get rental clothes for brides and grooms, although I apologize for not remembering the name :P

Also, one can buy laces, fabrics,etc. from Goyal shopping center which is just opposite to the station.

2. Malad(west):-

Mostly good for ethnics.

A). Natraj Market: Punjabi salwar kameez, Dress Materials, Sarees, laces, Kids wear, Artificial Jewellery and more.

Other shopping items available for shopping here are Gold, Silver and Artificial Jewellery, Steel and Other clay vessels, Cushions and curtains, Ladies handbags, Under garments and more.

One can certainly find things at good and affordable prices.

Here too, one can find sooo.... many shops of imitation jwellery.

Besides, there are many shops and malls, here to find bridal lenhengas and sherwanis for grooms.Even gujurati wedding Panetar can be found here.

3. Vile Parle(west):-

A). Irla Market : good one for finding the trendiest western clothes/accessories/bags and footwear.

5 Alfa shopping malls along with goooood... number of street shopping options.

Although not as huge as Linking road / fashion street, but certainly enough for finding the right things.

B). Outside Vile Parle Station West : Even here, you could find some small shops wherein you can possibly find trendy western clothes and footwear as well.

Both the markets are quite budget friendly and serves good variety in western wears.

Lot of college going, young crowd prefer these 2 markets to stay stylish, apart from the markets in Bandra and Churchgate.

4. Bandra:-

A). Linking Road: One of the biggest market for street shopping.

Linking road has it all.....clothes, jwellery, shoes, bags, accessories. It's quite big and might require ample of time to go around the entire market.

This market too has trendy western wears overpowering the Indian wear's varieties.

B). Hill Road: Again, here too... you'll find trendy western wears, and this market is mainly good for footwear.

5. Dadar:-

If you are upto buying Ethnic wears, then in my suggestion, Dadar has to be the first place in your list. Below two markets are good for ethnic wears.

A). Jai Gopal Market: Not many people have heard about this place, but its a good one for ethnics for ladies ,I'll recommend to atleast checkout, and you'll certainly find some beautiful lehengas, gowns, etc.

Some of the stores are strictly wholesale, meaning they only sell to retailers directly, while some are both retail and wholesale, but you can try and inquire in the shops that attract you.

B). Hindmata Market: Sarees, salwar kameez, suits, lehengas, sherwanis and even dress materials that can be woven into gowns or suits or even formal office wear, all under one roof.

Apart from these, there is Manish market in Dadar, wherein you can find home decor items, fabrics and electronic items as well.

Also,there is an entire flower market in Dadar.

6. Churchgate :-

A). Fashion Street: One of the biggest markets for funky and trendy western clothes and accessories. This market caters to men as well. Good place to shop till you drop

7. Colaba (Not too far from Churchgate and Charni Road) :-

A). Colaba Causeway: Beautiful market, good for antiques, jwellery, necklaces, bangles,etc .

So, its mainly good for accessories and bags, not so good for clothes though. Also, when compared to other markets, it is a bit expensive and you need very good bargaining skills, which is applicable to other markets as well.

8. Charni Road(not too far from Churchgate) :-

A). Bhuleshwar: All kinds of clothes.... from, western to Indian wear(for both men and women), accessories, bags, even handkerchiefs,towels, plastic pouches, footwear, immitation jwellery, cosmetics and what not... at extremely affordable prices.

Infact, there is an entire market for imitation jwellery in Bhuleshwar in Bhoiwada, at super good prices.

Zaveri bazaar is good for real gold, silver and diamond shopping.

Apart from these, there is an entire flower market in here as well.

Besides, there are many shops here, to find bridal lenhengas and sherwanis for grooms. Even gujurati wedding Panetar can be found here.

B). Mangaldas Market (Kalbadevi) and Mulji Jetha Market(Kalbadevi):

Both markets are very near to each other and are super good to find fabrics at good price. Although not veryyy cheap, but you'll find all sorts of fabrics here, from silk to cotton.. to synthetic...chicken and almost all kinds of fabrics.

You'll find both wholesalers and retailers here. If you buy fabrics in wholesale, you'll be quite happy with the prices.

Apart from these, there is Lamington Market, which is not in Bhuleshwar, but its nearby, infact better to reach here from Grant Road station, as its nearer from Grant Road. This market is good for finding all electronic items, mobile and computer related things and much more.

9. Masjid Bandar (not too far from Charni Road/Bhuleshwar):-

A). Crawford maket : Also reachable from CST and its mainly good for home shopping.

From utensils to.. crockery.. to plastic tumblers, etc. laundry bags, fruits, veggies, Dry fruits, groceries, chocolates, perfumes , cosmetics, briefcases/suitcases/bags , etc. and what not... it's not a place to find clothes/accessories though.

Apart from the above items, people mainly shop here in festivals like Ganesh Chathurti/Diwali,etc. to find the home decoration items at cheap price and also find good varieties of things like artificial grass carpets, flowers, leaves, fairy lighting and many other types of lightnings, bird cage, etc.

There are few pet shops as well, in here.

Also, there is an building called Omega building, especially full of opticians.

B). Chor Bazaar: The name roughly translates into Market of Thieves and was earlier used by thieves to sell off stolen goods.

At Chor Bazaar you'll find things like Vintage collection, antiques, motor cycle parts, mobile phones and a never-ending list of stuffs at more than cheap prices.
