So it was our 3rd wedding anniversary, my husband and I were finding a romantic and a quiet getaway from the hustle bustle of Mumbai life and that's when we found: The Machan!!
Oh my God!! This place was heaven on earth in literal sense. The Machan is a 25 acre property nestled amidst untouched pollution free forest about 100 km from Mumbai and once you reach this place, it's nothing short of silence and tranquility.
The machan offers different varieties of Tree houses and we chose a certain Canopy Machan which was built at 30 ft above ground level. Our check in was smooth and once we entered the room we were in total awe. Ot was drop dead gorgeous glass case overlooking the sahayadris, with a wooden deck that had a hammock on one corner and a beautiful bath tub on the other end. I could just sit on the deck for hours and hours and do absolutely nothing. Being our anniversary, we had a chocolate fudge and a bouquet of flowers waiting for us in the room. It took us some good amount of time to absorb all the beauty of the place. We rested a little, clicked lots and lots of pictures and then finally in the evening prepared ourselves to head for a short nature trail that was organized by the property. It was quite interesting to learn about the flora and fauna surrounding our property. Finally we ended it with a beautiful sunset.
Later our dinner was arranged at the forest with beautiful lamps hanging from the tree branches, there a drop in the temperature but we enjoyed the meal that was cooked to perfection.
Once the dinner was over, we headed back to our machan, made a few drinks for our self and called it a night. The weather was so beautiful and the climate was so chilly that we didn't feel the need to even switch on the fan. Living in Mumbai it is quite unbelievable but we overall had a ball.
Next dayx breakfast was arranged at the woods with a good spread of food, we thoroughly enjoyed and finally bid adieu to this beautiful property which is an absolute visit once for sure.
Even the pictures won't do justice as much as spending some quality time would do.
