COVID pandemic has created a lot of uncertainty with regards to travel anywhere in the world. Traveling has become a task in itself as you have to get down to very basics of checking places to stay, food to eat, sanitization and many more. For people on the go (like me) most of the things should not be a problem, however majority of us will need proper planning. Mind you traveling is not just booking in advance and check into a place, post some photos and come back, Been there done that sortta thing.
Posting this short escapade for people based out in Mumbai and one who need to get out and explore some new place in a day's time comfortably, you can hop into your car or bikes or cycles and try to explore this ancient temple on bank of river "Patalgana"
Don't be scare by the name patalganga, this name has been given to the river that flows thorough the entire MIDC area of Rasayani and mostly used by the industries to dump there waste and hence derived its name.
Multiple ways to reach this place
This is the grand entrance to the actual temple vicinity. Feels rustic and gives you really good vibes once there. This is quite old temple which the locals have renovated over the years. The locals have lot of belief on this temple and its power. The area around the temple is very cool and the big trees are really soothing along with the natural beauty the silence is absolute for anyone who is in search of peace and wants to spend some time away from city hustle and bustle
You can cycle up-to the location in case you are an enthusiast or come here for a casual drive or ride. The route to this temple is very scenic in general. There are no shops near the temple, however you will get something to eat at a typical road side eatery (which many might not be ready to), so my suggestion is to carry something to munch on when you are at the temple.
Spend good amount of time looking at the architecture once inside the temple. The temple offers great view on Maha Shivratri as its an auspicious moment and lot of people descend to this temple for its importance in that region. A yearly get together also happens on Maha Shivratri.
Overall a nice place to visit with family or friends. Please make sure you do not litter and carry your trash with you while leaving. Please do not create any ruckus or untowardly behavior which might get you in trouble with the locals. In these part of woods, respect is most important thing.
Enjoy the pleasant weather and also the joyful drive / ride to the place.
