If you guys are planning to go to Uttarakhand side, I would highly recommend Mukteshwar....it has fascinating Valleys...step farming...orchards...b'ful sunsets.
Its very important to stay at a nice location, one of the major highlight of my trip was the place where we stayed - Oak Chalet. its an amazing location, away from hustle and bustle of the city. You will have to hike down one and a half kilometer to reach this. It has a small dining room cum library with small collection of books (thanks to the owner - Manoj). There are 3-4 caretakers who make really tasty homely food.
Also they have a small collection of games such as carrom board, board games badminton etc.
If you are looking for a peaceful holiday with an amazing view - this is the place to go!!
