There are many unsung Warriors in History who have given their blood and sacrificed their lives to give us the freedom that we aall are enjoying today.

The battle of Chappar Chiri was fought between Mughals and Sikhs in Punjab in year 1710.

The Mughal forces were  lead by Wazir Khan and Sikh forces were lead by Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.

The Sikh warriors were marching towards Sirhind and were stopped by the Mughal forces at Chappar Chiri.

Though the Sikh infantry was not having any artillery, yet they fought bravely and killed Wazir Khan to establish their rule here  in Punjab.

A religious minar named Fateh Burj meaning the Victory tower has been created in the village and is the tallest minaret of India with height of 328m. (The height of Qutub minar is 238m)

A must visit place in CHAPPAR CHIRI VILLAGE, Mohali , Punjab to learn about the unsung heroes of our country.
