Milan was founded in the year 600 BC by a Celtic tribe of the Gaul ( Partly French).

Napoleon Bonaparte was crowned the king of Italy in the Milan Cathedral in 1805.

Milan was once under Spain, then Austrian and France after invasions.

The famous painting “The Last Supper” by Leonardo Da Vinci is in the church of Santa Maria Delle Grazie. But most of his works are stored in the national museum of technology.

Milan is one of the fashion capitals of the world.

The Pirelli tower which is 32 stories is the first skyscraper in Italy built in 1956.

The tram network of Milan is the most developed in the world with about 180 Kilometers.

The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is the oldest shopping mall in Italy built in 1877, it is still active and is an architectural marvel. It is one of the largest indoor malls.

the Milan Cathedral took more than 500 years to build and is the third largest catholic churches in Europe after St. Peters church in Rome and Seville cathedral in Spain.

There are about 3400 statues on the Duomo.
