Milan - A city of Fashion And Design

Milan - A city in Italy second-most populous after Rome is a capital hub of fashion and design.

I was on a business trip to this city last week. But how can we miss to visit The Gothic Duomo di Milano cathedral?!

It was Sunday morning when we reached the Milan suite. As our check-in time was at 12.00 noon, we planned to visit the beautiful cathedral.

The Milan Cathedral, built over the course of more than five centuries, is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world. It showcases both Renaissance and Gothic styles. You feel the positivity and experience the magnificent beauty.

All that you should know is about transportation in Milan. You should buy bus/train tickets for 2 Euros and find a bus station nearby! It's absolutely easy. You can get these tickets either in the hotel you stay or any stationary shops. Public transport is so much encouraged here and it's fun to travel. You can also buy a ticket for 7 Euros which is a day pass.

People are so helpful and lively. But you should just find English speaking people.

As you reach cathedral, look for ticket counters. Before that you have to decide the option, looking at the information provided outside the cathedral. You can join the prayer and take a round inside the cathedral to watch the glass art and read stories.

As we returned back, we also learned about the Opera house show! As there was no time, we thought of making it another day!

After our work on Thursday, we went to scala opera house. It was a bit challenging to find as we did not speak Italian. But finally found it and bought the tickets. Don't miss the show!

Milan has lot of shops of big clothing and footwear brands. Buy it as most of them are finally made in Italy!

You will find lot of rearurants and vegetarian food is also not a problem! You will obviously find Risotto, pasta and pizza.

I travelled from Hong Kong and took Cathay Pacific flight. It took 13 hours but worth visiting Milan!

I wish I had extended my trip and planned a holiday. But could not.

Go plan a trip now! It's just a beautiful place on the earth with awesome roads, clean everywhere and it was awesome weather of -1 degree celsius during that week! So check the the weather and take suitable clothes!
