A tiny town off the coast of East Malaysia, Malacca  is ever bustling with Tourists. The charm of the city is its down town which has its beauty preserved. As you set foot in the down town one is welcomed by the sheer hustle and bustle of the tuks tuks decoratively profusely with flowers and animated creatures to lure the children. The red Christ church along with other red ricked building adds to the sheer charm this place has. This erstwhile Portuguese settlement in some parts reminded me of Pondicherry. However this place is much bigger in area. Strolling along the canal and criss crossing roads one can hardly keep a tab of the drifting time. Beautifully painted buildings with long wooden doors and windows transform you for a while. Hop into one of the cafes or into those antique shops. The sea coast would be 2 kms walk from the down town. Dont forget to check out the souvenir stalls for some memory. As the evening descends Malacca becomes even more livelier. The down town is so crowded with tourists that it almost looks like a carnival. Moreover make shift stalls come over the street and the mood is just the perfect.
