Tucked away from the main road and comfortably enwrapped within an extensive garden, the Surya Mandir (Sun Temple) is just a 1.5 - 2hr drive from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The temple complex also runs an archeological museum with a small shop attached to it, where you can help yourself to some water, biscuits or chips.
