The dismay from Shillong on a day trip

I was in my training period in Assam and being south Indian. All I did during that period of two months was just dreaming when to go back home and my friend who was from Delhi struck an idea in my ears let's visit Shillong and Cherapunjee. Then I got excited  as I used to travel way alot in South.  I thought finally something is worth coming 3500km far away from home. I started searching all websites regarding best places in Shillong. And the list was bug for which we made planning routing to but when we actually  started seeing the place like Police bazaar, Wards lake, golf links all this places were so hyped on internet so we visited them to our utter dismay it turned out to be normal and didn't even feel like an attraction. In the same disgust we stopped Shillong and started biking towards Meghalaya hoping it would provide the awe we wanted in the trip and yes it definitely  did Meghalaya is such a beautiful place one of my best trip of life. So here it is don't trust internet deeply it has half bulls hit trying to make u click on link I would suggest whoever visits to North east skip Shillong and head straight to meghalaya if u have less time in your hand #OverratedDestination #tripoto
