Early morning on 10th August 2019,we started our trip. We took a cab from Guwahati to Shillong, Meghalaya which took us not more than 3 hours. The view one will see while this journey of 3 hours is bliss. No matter how far you've been travelling or how tired you are, at that point all you see is serene nature and your excitement shall increase to see the coming destinations.
After arriving Shillong main taxi stand, we took another cab to our next destination which was "The Garden of Caves" also called Laitmawsiang. The road which leads to this place was totally foggy. Our driver uncle could barely see the road. The summer giving us such fog was simply ❤️ It had many of those small & huge caves with waterfalls in it.
Not staying more than an hour there, we headed towards our homestay, which was near the city at Cherapunjee, to keep our luggage. Soon after that we were taken to our next destination which was Wei Sawdon. It was a downhill trek of about half an hour. Then we ended our day with a cup of chai enjoying the beautiful NohKalikai Falls.

This day started with us travelling to Nongriat. Approximately 1/2 hours from Cherapunjee. The trek to Nongriat starts from Tyrna Village. It took us about 1.5 hour walk down to Nongriat and again 2 more hours walk up. Approx 4 hours including stoppage.
On reaching Nongriat we started our trek to the Rainbow Falls. It is a complete uphill trek with no specific route. It traverse through the jungle, leading with rocks and natural swimming pool beneath every bridge we crossed.
After a good 3-4 hours of tiring, tremmoring feel trek to the Rainbow Falls we see this beauty (I lack pictures :p). We ended day 2 with Maggie at our homestay.
Today was a relaxing day. Trek was till the Double Decker living root Bridge. Early morning we woke up to feel the water and apparently have a fish pedicure done at the falls below the root bridge.
Ending this beautiful week with another day at Cherapunjee (homestay). Because I didn't wanted to leave this beauty and move to the busy streets again.
