There is a very busy and colourful market in Mcleodganj where you will get to see people from almost every culture. In the middle of the market, Kalachakra Temple is a beautifully decorated Tibetan monastery or temple located on the busiest main road of Mcleodganj.
The temple easily attracts everyone's attention from distance as its beautifully colored and decorated 😇.
Triund Trek is a very famous trek in Mcleodganj. There are 2 ways to reach there; one goes through the Gallu Devi Temple (and is an easy route) and the other goes through Bhagsu Nag waterfall (which is very steep). Due to the heavy snow in the former route, we had to go through a steep way .
By the time we reached till our tent, I was fully exhausted .But the diamond looking snowy mountains literally freshened me up!
And the cherry on the cake was the starry night!! The most beautiful night I had ever experienced. Triund trek costed Rs.750 per head, including a tent ,dinner and breakfast. But the blankets provided by them weren't warm enough to beat the cold.
The roads from Gamru to Mcleodganj are literally 70 degree steep!! We were staying in Gamru and going up to Mcleoganj, walking was a real hectic task. Fortunately , found a shortcut which was so stunning that I felt it easier than the Triund trek!!
After a long walk, it was time to treat ourselves! So on our way to Mcleodganj, we found an appealing new restaurant called Kyizom Himalayan Eartery, just besides Illeterati cafe. Trust me ,you have to go to this restaurant, they have the best Nepali Thali and Thenthuk ever!!!
The very famous Illeterati Cafe is also in Mcleodganj and is very famous for its exquisite cafe decoration and Italian retreat. You can spend quality time there reading books and ordering whatever you like.
