Marbella, a small city in Southern Spain, is a richie paradise with luxury resorts, sea-facing penthouses and cafes. This place, which is a mix of historical buildings and modern luxuries, is a must for people who love beaches and luxury.
The old town is a perfect place to soak in the Andalucian history and Puerto Banus comes alive at night. It has the best nightclubs.
I visited Marbella in 2019 and unfortunately could only stay for one day. (This place is on top of my places to visit again list).
I stayed at a resort outside the city, which was not a wise decision. If you plan to visit this beach town, book a resort or hotel near the Promenade.
The 7km-long promenade has beautiful sea-facing cafes and resturants, where you can enjoy tapas and wine. The city has so much to offer that even a week is not enough. You can enjoy the history of the old town by booking a tour or shop Andalucian fashion. There are beautiful churches and statues across the city. A ferry ride from the Promenade to Peurto Banus gives you a beautiful view of the city.
You can also book a yatch to watch the sunset, enjoying the Spanish wine or just walk on the beach.
This South Spanish town has over five blue flag beaches, a castle and a Roman Villa.
Marbella is also a popular destination among golf enthusiasts and boasts beautiful golf courses. It is a place of richie rich and you will find the best designer wear and expensive cars in Peurto Banus at night.
Rajma chawal in Marbella
Though i love to try different cuisine, I ended up at an Indian resturant named Jaipur in Marbella and had the best rajma chawal. The owner of the place belonged to a small village in Himachal Pradesh and he made me feel at home. So, after eating cheese pizza for atleast a week, I was craving Indian food and owner's mother, who was walking on the Promenade in her traditional Himachali attire, came like ray of hope. After seeing her, I googled about Indian resturants and found the place.
