This place surely deserves a separate blog altogether because of its unique approach and the scenic views around it that drag people from the corners of Mangalore to chill out. This is one of a kind cafe in every possible way and during my recent visit to Mangalore, I ended up visiting this place twice. For the first time I went with my folks and the second time I went all alone to embrace the peace over noise and silence. The name itself suggests the person who brought peace to the earth with his ideology, and it makes sure to deliver the concept aptly.

Situated at Konchady, this cafe is surrounded by greenery, water streams, private housing, and mountains, basically nature. Unlike other cafes that are mostly into interiors, this one completely focused on its exteriors. Imagine having a coffee over the view of flowing water, sounds of chirping birds and crickets, and the touch of fresh wood breeze, isn't it quite engaging and healing at the same time?

Before visiting it for the first time, I have seen this cafe in the form of virtual images when my people visited and posted stories from there. Hence, I was quite adamant about visiting it when I was in Mangalore. So that's how I ended up spending more than 6 hours hanging out with my pals over food, drinks, smokes, and a lot of conversations. I reached in the late afternoon and left in the night. Indeed, I didn't want to leave but I had a different plan of visiting alone.

Being a traveler, one must appreciate one's presence all alone and also with people to see a clear difference. Hanging out with my Mangalore crowd is mostly about food because they love food and they know how to appreciate every bite of the food, unlike me who just captures and savor just to know how a recipe tastes. That day I ate a bit though, but more than food, I became a fan of their coffees and mocktails. They instantly elevated my moods especially when I spent drafting by sitting on a chair under a huge tree sipping my blueberry mocktail. This place gave me memories I could cherish, and you may feel it is a bit exaggeration, but one would understand only when one visits this place personally.

It was once a private gym space for Mangalore Martial arts club members who used to hang out for coffee and snacks post their workouts and then according to a few sources, the owner has developed the space by extending the exteriors and interiors to allowing the general crowd to hang out. Previously it was named 'Fat Fox' and then with all the changes, it beautifully decked up as "Big Buddha Cafe". One could experience the aura of Gautam Buddha everywhere in and around the cafe space. The cafe looks amazing during the evenings and nights because of the cozy incandescent lighting spread whole over the premises.

Fortunately, I have encountered all kinds of moods at this cafe within two visits. It was drizzling a bit when I visited this cafe for the first time, and we sat outside munching over nuggets, fries, coffees, juices, and mocktails. Later a bit, it rained heavily and once it stopped, the cafe looked even more beautiful with the coolest breeze and coziest vibe. Surprisingly people visited during the rain and kept visiting even after it stopped. Then I found the popularity of the place and how it could hold the presence of people for longer spans with the peaceful vibe they created.

Speaking of food, all the recipes were delicious and affordable enough. You can get a massive burger for around 250 rupees, and you feel nothing is overpriced keeping the ambiance in mind. And if you ever visit it with people or alone, try having burgers and coffee for sure. They deliver on time; the service is engaging, and the staff is welcoming. They make you feel welcomed by listening and also customizing according to your taste. You can peacefully work, and no one bothers you at all I experienced this for myself when I visited the cafe alone to draft a blog and vibe alone with nature in the search of inner peace.

It's a lovely place to make memories. I made many with my people by spending time with a lot of conversations, laughter, and love. I made sure I captured every inch of it because I wanted to carry the place along with me. Mangalore is the place that makes any person connect with nature instantly and when a place like this is opened for people to find peace naturally with a touch of modernity, one can't resist appreciating the thought unconditionally.

If you are a coffee lover, you surely love this cafe!
