A husband and his wife decided they wanted to do something new with their time, money and resources. They traveled first to Udaipur and decided to make it their official base. The city of lakes gave them promising returns, and a network of new-age travelers, hikers, and wanderers. From there, started their incredible journey of hosting travelers from across the world in some of the most famous locations in the country.
Today, Keekoo has become a renowned brand for travelers nesting for both long and short term stays.
Location
With only 300m from Hadimba Devi temple, Keekoo, Manali is located in the log huts area, one of the most prime locations in this quaint travelers town. It is less than 10 minutes walking distance from old Manali, under 15 minutes on foot from the famous Johnsons café and bar and the mall road.

Dining
The onsite restaurant is called "foodies nation". They have a chef on call who makes delicious home-cooked meals.
They have a wide variety on their menu, so if you're looking for Chinese, or Indian, or some Italian fast food, they have it all. You must absolutely try their Pav-bhaji and wood-fried pizza's. It is an a la carte menu, so be wise and order prior.
Things to do around
Hadimba devi temple is less than 4 minutes walking distance, the mall road is under 15 minutes on foot, and old Manali is under 10 minutes on foot. You can also ask to rent a bike or taxi at the reception. It is a perfect spot to meet new people, enjoy long, cold bonfire nights, and unlike every other hostel, here you will find families, couples and solo travelers all in one living space.
Key takeaways from my experience:
When we stayed here, we had the opportunity to meet the owner, Mr. Kishan. He was on site for a few weeks and helped us with almost everything. A gentleman in all true sense, the ideologies that Mr.Kishan has put forth in his property and the fact that he encourages community living and himself is an explorer at heart, all adds up to the beautiful vibe of this stunning little property. At the reception, you'll find a wall full of messages left from travelers and guests who stayed at Keekoo.
Once you read them, you'll know how homely this place feels and that they know exactly how to keep their guests happy.
P.S Their inhouse restaurant is pure vegetarian, and is freshly made with locally sourced ingredients. I have traveled to Manali A LOT, so believe me when I say this, you wouldn't find better, tastier and safer food anywhere else in the town.
