Day 1
The Embodiment of Hippie Paradise – Old Manali.
An essential stopover on the road to attaining Nirvana, Old Manali is virtually the backpacker’s heaven. With sprawling mountains, crisp air, twittering birds, gushing waters, swaying eucalyptus, and cobblestone pathways, this vintage town has a charm like no other. The beauty of nature in and around here is so profound that it evokes feelings of spirituality in many.
Old Manali is a charming, laid-back district known for its wooded mountain trails, apple orchards, and scenic spots by the Manaslu River. It’s dotted with quaint backpacker lodgings and bohemian cafes serving global fare, grilled trout, and pancake breakfasts, while souvenir shops sell hand-knitted woolens and dreamcatchers.
