We were five friends, three of us started from Delhi, one boarded the bus from Karnal, and the last one joined us from Chandigarh, eager to explore the picturesque hill station of Manali. After an overnight journey by bus, we finally reached Manali, eager to begin our adventure.
Day 1: Exploring Hidimba Temple and Mall Road
We started our day by visiting the Hidimba Temple, dedicated to Hidimba, the wife of Bhima from the Indian epic, the Mahabharata. The temple, surrounded by lush green forests, was a serene and peaceful place, and we were in awe of its architectural beauty.
Next, we headed to the bustling Mall Road, where we indulged in some shopping for our next day visit to snow in khoksar, trying out local street food, and . We also discovered the underground market for weed, which added to our exciting experience.
In the evening, we retired to our hotel and enjoyed a bonfire, drinks, and each other's company.
Day 2: Adventures at Atal Tunnel and Khoksar
The second day of our trip was a mix of adventure and excitement. We hired a taxi for the day, which cost us 2500 Rupees, and set out to explore Atal Tunnel and Khoksar.
During our visit to the Atal Tunnel, we encountered a distressing scene as two cars had met with an accident. We stopped to help the people involved in the accident, offering them our support and assistance.
After 2 hours of driving wefinally reached Khoksar, where we played in the snow, made snowmen, climbed snow clad mountains and had Maggi and tea in a small café. The snow-covered landscape was a magical experience, and we felt as though we were in a winter wonderland.
Day 3: Visiting Vasist Temple and Old Manali
On the final day of our trip, In the morning, we visited some bakeries in Old Manali and had our breakfast, savoring the local delicacies and experiencing the authentic charm.
Then visited to the Vasisth Temple, took a holy dip in the Kund and explored the nearby market. We did some last-minute shopping, picking up souvenirs for our loved ones back home.
In the evening, we headed back to Mall Road, where we had dinner at a café, relishing the local cuisine and cherishing our memories from the past three days.
Our journey back to Delhi was comfortable, and we reached there in the morning, tired but happy, with memories that we would cherish for a lifetime.
In conclusion, our Manali trip was a perfect blend of adventure, excitement, and relaxation. From the scenic beauty of Hidimba Temple and Khoksar, to the hustle and bustle of Mall Road and Old Manali, our journey was packed with experiences that we will never forget.
