It's been almost 3-4 months here already. I don't actually remember why I came here and why I decided to live here in Manali all of a sudden. But all needed to happen.
I live here with a sweet Himachali family and rented a room for just 6k per month. I know you won't find such cheap rooms here that too in such a hotspot.
My landlord (aunty) keeps me like her own child. I so remember the day I shifted she said she never had a daughter (she has two son).
I've always wanted to live on a mountain just beside the water stream. My dream came true after shifting to this place. My room is just located between the Apple farms. There is a water stream nearby too which makes way too much noise sometimes.
Vashisht temple is just nearby and around 10 minutes away. And there is one huge beautiful waterfall called Jogini a couple of minutes away.
My daily routine is I wake up early in the morning and go to this hot spring in Vashisht temple to take a bath and by coming back there is one aunty who always calls me to her home. We chat a bit and discuss on climatic conditions while we sip the tea.
I come back to my house, make myself breakfast and offer at least one parantha to my aunt.
Then I do the household chores, pick my laptop and sit in empty apple farms. There I occasionally meet some shepherds, some yarn threading women and small baby sheeps. Everyone shares their own share of story and sometimes I share mine too.
We talk about snowfall and how things have changed. Then I come back to my home in the evening.
We light a fire in tandoori. And share the things we did the whole day.
I tell them how I was running behind a cow and fell on the ground. We laugh and sip hot tea.
I make dinner and eat quietly with my uncle, aunt and her two sons. The wood makes a beautiful sound while burning in tandoori.
And that's how I live here each day like a fresh new start in manali and live up my dreams.
