Work from mountains or hills, a trend that renowned after the pandemic. Like many other working professionals, I also got this prosperous opportunity to work from anywhere.
And Manali was my first choice among all hill stations to work from. Additionally, being a travel blogger, this was a wonderful chance to explore Manali and all nearby hill stations to their depth. In this blog, I will be sharing with you all about my experience of staying in the Himalayas for about 1 Month, the details regarding how even you can rent a room, how’re the facilities in Manali, amenities, etc.
So how did I rent a room in Manali worked from the mountains?
Living in Manali consists of various options like cottages, hotels, guest houses, hostels, etc. But I wanted to live the Himachal life closely. And the best way to experience local cultures is to live with locals. So, I decided to go for a vacant room in some local house that I can rent for a month. Finding a home in Manali is not that easy but not that tough either. You just need to do some research. Post your requirements in travel groups on Facebook, contact pretty owners, and other agents. You will get a plethora of options of your choice. I also find my stay through Facebook groups and other contacts.
I would also like to highlight some benefits that you can get while living with locals:
- You will get delicious and traditional food to eat.
- You can observe cultural practices within the home.
- Locals have many historical stories to share about unexplored places.
- Eventually, you will gain a new family.
Where have I stayed for a month in Manali?
This property of beautiful 1RK is in Shuru village, which is about 5 km from Manali. The room has all the amenities like a Wi-Fi connection, geyser, heater, fully furnished room with included meals at a reasonable price.
Were there any challenges that I faced during my stay?
Honestly, no. I had no idea how and where my 30 days have been spent in the lap of snow-covered mountains. I still think that It was like a dream. On weekdays, I used to work for my office and on weekends I used to travel and explore nearby hill stations. This information I will be covering in-depth in other travel blogs.
