Recahed MALE airport from Delhi via GoAir. Many people tried to scare us about the hot weather conditions, but weather was good.
Stayed in male for one day before leaving for Maafushi island. Very nice view of Indian Ocean from our flight to Male.
After our night stay at Beehive Hotel (Male), we took public ferry to Maafushi island which was just 3.5$ PP. I will suggest everyone to take public ferry as it is cheap and you will feel great enjoying the ride on the roof of the ferry.
We reached Maafushi in about 1.5 hrs. It was around 5 min walk for our hotel Kaani Grand Sea View, which was really the nice hotel at the beach. We spent our evening at the beach.
Third day we went for the full day snorkeling tour, which we booked on arrival from the hotel. We did snorkeling at three spots and had a lunch at white Sand Bank and did Dolphin watching. Awesome day. And hotel charged us only 35$ PP. We reached to the snorkel points by speed boat and we swam with lots of fishes, turtles and sea horses. Dolphin watching was awesome.
We spent one day in shopping and exploring the island. You should search for best shop and try to complete your shopping in this island, as private island charge very heavy amount for same products. Not much option in food for veg. lovers, but plenty of options in sea food.
We stayed at The Melrose hotel for a night as we had a domestic flight to Dharavandhoo. There was a restaurant in Somerset hotel in Male, which served us the very tasty indian veg food.
We left for the airport in the morning and reached Dharavandhoo domestic airport from where Reethi picked us up by speedboat. We reached Reethi Faru Resort in 1.5 hrs via airplane and speedboat. And surprisingly, we were 1 hr. ahead of Male time. Reaching Reethi Faru and experiencing the resort was the best highlight of the trip. They served us coconut water on the arrival and after some formalities, we went to our Water Vilas and Wowwwwwwwwwwww.... As the ocean looks best form the rooms. We had our buffet breakfast and met many waiter and chefs from India and Bangladesh. They were very welcoming. We spent our day by roaming around the private island.
Spent our whole day enjoying the resort activities like Spa, beachside lunch, pool bar, Photoshoot, shopping etc.
We did not want to leave the paradise but the last day of the trip where the trip ends. Our trip was fabulous and memorable for lifetime. We had a complimentary photoshoot before heading back home with loads of memory. Every traveller should visit the paradise.
