Hello guys. This is my 2nd review on tripoto. This time I am travelling on honeymoon and have planned the trip trying to save money as far as possible. While everyone combines Malaysia with Singapore but i did something different as my trip had Malaysia with Bali. My trip started on 29th may.
so firstly I booked flights via Air Asia from jaipur to Kuala Lumpur costing around 5k approx. For visa I got it from musafir.com @ 2500 p.p. however one can apply from Malaysian website and get it around ₹1000. Since I am from Delhi so I booked Shatabdi train from Delhi to Jaipur .We had our breakfast in Shatabdi that was included in the ticket.
After reaching we had our flight in the evening so we spend the day watching movie at world trade park. After that we headed to airport. And finally we were heading to Kuala Lumpur.
We reached Kuala Lumpur @ around 8:30 am. We took sim card ' TuneTalk' as we booked it from klook.com @ ₹800. We booked online - skybus from its website that costed us around ₹ 400 and headed to KL Sentral. From there we did cab for 10RM for our budget hotel that was citin seacare in jalan Puri road and costed us around ₹1.5k including breakfast. The location of hotel was great as well. For lunch we went to Sri Ganesha restaurant that was 5 min walk from our hotel. After this we headed to Batu caves via metro as it is the most convenient and cheapest transport mode available.
Tip- Kuala Lumpur metro covers almost whole of city
We reached Batu caves @ around 4:30 pm. It has no entry fees. The Batu caves are one of the must visited places in Malaysia. We spent almost 3 hours there. After that we had our dinner there @ Rani Restaurant that was pure vegetarian restro. Finally we headed back to our hotel via metro.
After some rest we walked towards nearby famous market Bukit Bintang famous for shopaholics and Chinatown with enriched non vegetarian dishes . After that we headed back and our day ended with memories
The next day we planned for Sunway Lagoon. The hotel provided breakfast buffet that had enough veg varieties. We booked our tickets@ ₹2500 from klook again. We used metro for our travel. We reached the place @12 pm. I recommend u to reach as early as 10 am when the park opens. The park is one of the biggest with 5 interesting themes include zoo, amusement park, extreme park and 2 water parks. One whole day was well spent as the time was eroding@ much faster rate. The locker was taken @ 23 RM quite costly. However the food was not much high rates as we had subway sandwich. After having fun day we used metro and headed back to hotel. Again we roamed in the streets of Bukit Bintang in the evening and the day was over again.
The next day we had breakfast at our hotel. Pudu Sentral bus station was in front of our hotel. We took bus for genting highland @12 RM p.p @ 10 am. It also included skyway cable that was great attraction. We reached the place @ 12 pm. I booked the First World Hotel from its website @ ₹ 1500. The hotel was amazing. After checking into hotel we roamed inside the mall connected with hotel. In the mall itself there are many attractions.
After exploring the mall we went to the sky casino. The casino is quite famous and is main attraction of genting. The casino also provides free tea, coffee and juices. After that I purchased entry tickets from fave app and visited zombie outbreak that was 15 min show and was scary and exciting as well . We also went to Ripley's believe it or not that almost took our 2 hours and was great place to explore. After that we had masala dosa @ JR Curry house that wasn't good. After such tiring day we went to our hotel room and ended the day with memories.
In the morning we had our bus back to Kuala Lumpur@ 10:30am so we got ready and left for the place. We booked our hotel from make my trip i.e ibis hotel at Fraser business park. The bus dropped us @ pudu Sentral and so we took metro for chan sow Lin as our hotel was located near it. We reached hotel @ 12 pm. After rest we left hotel @ 2 pm to explore the city.
We took metro for central market . We roamed there for around 2 hours. It is like Palika bazaar of new Delhi and offers great shopping experience. After searching a lot for vegetarian Indian food we reached restaurant Punjabi dhaba that was good and was nearby. From there we went to petronas tower via metro to buy the tickets as it was not available on klook. We had dinner at subway. We were so exhausted that we headed back to our hotel and ended our day.
The next day we had breakfast at our hotel. We headed to botanical park also known as KL bird park via cab. There we spent our 3 hours and it was beautiful lake garden.
We headed to petronas towers via metro. The tickets for petronas costed us 80 MYR p.p. This activity only takes maximum of 1 hour. So I didn't find it worth. But watching from such a height was excellent experience.
We took cab for Berjaya Times square from there. Berjaya has one of the biggest indoor theme park so one must visit there.
From there we took cab to brickfields also known as 'Little India' and after roaming for an hour we finally had dinner at Aarya Bhawan that is an Indian restaurant with good taste. We took cab back to hotel and our day ended.
So next day after having breakfast at our hotel we took cab to 'Fashion Wholesale Market' that was nearby our hotel. This place is one of the biggest wholesale market in Malaysia We did little shopping there and spended around 2-3 hours. We had lunch @ subway again and than we headed back to hotel to take our luggage. We took cab to KL Sentral as we booked skybus online for airport that is very cheap compared to other modes.
So finally our trip ended for Kuala and now it's time to Bali.
At the airport I had diners lounge access so I had my dinner there itself.
The next day we reached Bali @ 1 a.m. The immigration takes much time around 2 hours because of free visa. I booked sim card and cab via klook in advance, so with no hassle I availed the vouchers. It is advised to book cab in advance as the cab at airport charges big amount.
The cab dropped us at the hotel booked through booking.com at 4 am . The hotel was Bali Manik beach inn. It was a cheap hotel as we only need to stay for 4 hours.
After having unsatisfactory breakfast provided by hotel we walked to the beautiful Kuta beach and spend there half hour. We also visited beachwalk shopping centre. There on the roadside shop we booked rafting for next day @ ₹1500 p.p.
After that we took cab from our hotel to this resort which was nearby. We booked it from MakeMyTrip . The resort was very beautiful with awesome swimming pool. From nearby we took scooter on rent @ ₹300 per day. It is great experience to ride scooter at such beautiful place.
Note - It's better to take scooter as there is huge traffic in bali and take US dollars for currency exchange
With scooter we went to Tanah Lot temple that was great place for pix. It took 1.5 hours to reach this place. They have entry tickets of ₹ 360 p.p.
There we spent around 2 hours . The place has beautiful view of the ocean with stunning views.
After this we went to dominos and had pizza there.
To enjoy nightlife we visited skygarden which is one of the must see nightclub in Bali.
There they charge ₹700 p.p for entry with unlimited food and drinks if one do entry before 9 pm. It is awesome club with awesome crowd and great buffet including vegetarian options. After such an exhausting day we headed back to our hotel.
The next day we started early and had breakfast buffet at our resort. But there they have very less veg options. Our cab came at 8:30 am sharp for our rafting ride. It took 2.5 hours to reach our destination.we were provided with welcome drinks. We started rafting after an hour which lasted about 30 minutes. I would say this was an amazing rafting and a must do activity in Bali with magnificent views. After rafting we were provided with lunch which included yummy vegetarian dishes. After that we left for our hotel.
After that we changed our hotel to Ibis. It was a good hotel. After taking shower we headed to Jimbaran beach which was about half hour distance via scooter. The beach had great atmosphere with lot of cafes. We spent there around an hour. There were lot of cafes on the beach.
From there we headed to this famous restaurant and believe me this was the 1st time during our trip we had pure indian taste in vegetarian food. After great dinner we headed to our hotel and ended our day with memories.
The next day we started early and visited kuta beach for some photo session and to watch sunrise. After that we had breakfast at our hotel. It was satisfactory as they have some veg options.
After having heartful breakfast we shifted our hotel to this beach hotel. I would say it was really beautiful hotel located within discovery mall and on front of beach. The room was nice and they have swimming pool by beach side.
After that we planned for Safari trip. We reached the place via scooter @ 12p.m. Safari also offers free bus service from different places. The ticket for Safari was pricey i.e 800,000 Indonesia rupiah but we preferred klook and purchased ticket for ₹ 3k approx.
The Safari had enough activities to entertain throughout the day.
Firstly we saw the whole Safari park via bus that was half hour activity and showed different species of animal. Than we did one ride at the amusement park. The ticket also included water park but we didn't tried it due to lack of time. Than they had Bali agung show for 1 hour theatrical performance that showed Bali culture. Than they had animal show. Atlast we saw aquariums with different species of fishes.
We left the place at 5 pm. However I didn't find the place worth.
Our dinner included home bought Maggi and tea as we couldn't find veg options. After that we spent our little time roaming on the legion street and also spent time on our hotel beach side and so our day ended.
The next day we started little late. We had breakfast at our hotel and morning on the beach.
So this time we booked fashion hotel. It's the first hotel opened by fashion TV. The hotel was very attractive and interiors were attractively decorated. Every small thing has theme related to fashion
After that we headed to Seminyak beach which I would say was the best beach among all the beaches we visited in Bali. It has great crowd , cafes and atmosphere. It was really peaceful enjoying the moment there.
After the beach we had bailenese massage at just 85000 Indonesia rupiah and we again had our dinner at atithi restaurant and had walk on legion street. We also went to club lxxy but it was vacant and we were already much exhausted. So we ended our day with good note.
The next morning we had home bought oats and tea in the breakfast. After that we headed to Nusa dua beach. It was very peaceful beach with crystal clear water. They were having preparation for some light festival. We spent almost 2 hours there than we headed back to hotel.
After that we changed our hotel to a private pool villa. We got it from booking.com @ around ₹ 5500 . I would say they have amazing hospitality and was a very big villa. It also have ample size kitchen and bathroom. We spent most of the day there itself. We had Maggi, tea and bhelpuri bought from home.
After that we headed to Seminyak beach again and had veg pizza at The champlung along beachside just enjoying the moment. It was last evening in Bali so we were little sad for such amazing vacation. Than we headed back to villa and just spent the last night.
Next day we had flight @ 8am so we left hotel @ 4am. I had airport lounge access so I had my breakfast at Bali and lunch @ Kuala Lumpur. Finally I landed @ Delhi. And here I complete my experience on good note and wonderful memories.
Total cost p.p was ₹ 58k excluding shopping
