I was planned a roadtrip but did'nt had permission from my parents for staying more than 2 days so i have decided that i could a day trip in my Motorcycle so i spoke to my childhood friend Rony for the trip...but we know that most of the Indians are expert to cancel trip at 1 day before, so he did it same...
But i prepared myself and i dont have not that much experience of roadtrip and didn't have proper riding gear (Do roadtrip with riding gear always) anyways i filled up my bike fuel yesterday night because after the morning i might be not able to fill up because that time is winter, so many petrol pumps are shutted down on early morning....
...So i started my journey at 6:45 am, i thought might get late...but traffic was less but at Dankuni there's are lots of trucks made jam like hell, but thanks to 2 wheels i escaped, and twisted the throttle to 80 kmph constantly, ( my pulsar 220 gave me around 44 kmpl)
It was total 484 km trip within one day. Barrackpore to maithon about 236 kms.So the lonely highway me and my bike going and going...then i got reached to Saktigarh but i dont eat Langcha or something because i am not strengty enough, whenever i eat something during riding i get sleepiness, so i carried some fruit cakes, and cookies, after taking a break my next break took it in Durgapur at 9:47 am, then took my breakfast there at roadside, and did some exercise. (because in long tour in a bike we are sitting constantly in one position) after 10 minutes again started my journey, only 60 kms more, but in Asansol, highway beacame very narrow and you cant imagine that patch is belongs to highway..ok after that i going through some creepy place i mean lonely roads and Malbhumi area visiblity On, some jungles are there on both side of there, and i'm alone OMG. So after 55 km i saw a traffic cop, and ask him how to get reach to maithon dam,( i usually google maps but sometime google map might not accurate) so the cop says take right turn and follow the road, I'm doing same thing, then saw The Kalyaneswari temple in small market, then took left turn and the roads getting so bad, did some offroading and clicked some pictures, and so lonely place is there, some hotels there, but not so crowdy place, and when i get reached to the dam. I was saw first Blue water in my life, cool breeze, blue water, less crowd. Awesome feeling, then i clicked some pictures, and take some rest, i saw few tourists were there its a picnic spot also, If want to go there by train (from howrah) Barkar is nearest railway station. Then i go to the nearest market and have some foods, and then gone back to my home about 4 hours return trip and i reached my home to about 5 pm. So this is my one day trip from Kolkata (Barrackpore) to Maithon dam.
