Unplanned one day budget trip to Alibag Beach

NEW YEAR EVENING

In afternoon in office suddenly it was decided that we are going to Alibag Beach tonight. We were a group of four.

Dhruv, Arijit, Mriganka and me

Like everytime it was my responsibility to plan the trip but unfortunately I don't get time to plan anything.

Yes you assumed right, trip is going to be disastrous.

We boarded train from Pune to Bombay at 7 PM.

Reached Bombay 10 PM. We thought that we will get bus from Mumbai to Alibag. But NO! All the buses have already left.

We decided to go Thane -> Panvel -> Alibag

So somehow we reached Alibag by 2 AM in night. We directly rushed to Kolaba Beach. We enjoyed a bit a bit. New Year Celebration was ongoing. A cricket tournament was also ongoing on the side of beach. We were hungry. We rushed towards city

Whole city was sleeping. Somehow we find a restaurant. Luckily because of new year it was open till 3 AM. We had dinner. Food was good.

We haven't booked the hotel because all hotels were booked. We started hunting for hotel. No auto nothing was there. We walked 2-3 KM on quest of for hotel. We haven't found a single hotel. The whole city was sleeping. No night life. Either hotels were full or locked. Everyone was tired like hell. Everyone started cursing. why we came?

We sat somewhere in front of PNB ATM. Fully tired. Worst new year?

Someone we gathered energy to restart our search for hotel.

Yes! We found one. Yay! An average kind of dormitory.

We all slept within 5 minutes. Hight of tiredness?

NEW YEAR DAY

We all were sleeping till 10 AM. Hopeless! Cursing each other!

We checked out hotel at 10:30 AM and left to explore Alibag.

We had tea in city. And hired an Auto to explore Alibag.

We had breakfast near beach. And went to beach.

Kolaba Fort is in sea like Hazi Ali Dargah, Bombay. Either you walk or hire ATV or Chariot. We opted for walking.

We reached fort and explored every corner.

While coming back we opted for Chariot. And best part is actually they will allow you to drive.

We got Auto for Rs. 100 to go to Varsoli Beach from Alibag Beach. The Varsoli Beach was cleaner than Alibag beach and there were a lot of water activities. I tried Jet Ski and ATV.

After that we had lunch and boarded Bus back to Pune.

Price for Jet Ski 500 for 10 minutes ride. It was an amazing experience. We went 1 KM inside of coast.

We are done with everything by 4 PM. Then we had food and boarded Bus back to Pune.

This is how our disastrous trip became memorable. ☺️
