If you have a bucket list like mine to go on a trip covering mountains, nightlife, and beaches in a single getaway with friends then look no further just follow my itinerary.

Day 1

Dagdusheth Ganpati

We boarded our flight from Delhi at 5 in the morning which took couple of hours to reach Pune. Throughout this journey we all had a checklist which we wanted to complete on this trip, having a special vada pav, and poha to start off our day is one of the top priorities. Around 10 AM, we began with exploring the best of Pune from Dagdusheth Ganpati as it is one of the most iconic temples providing its graceful presence from the middle of the city.

Moving forward from the temple towards our next destination on my itinerary is Shaniwar wada fort which is hardly 450m from temple. I will suggest to travel from temple to fort by exploring the neighbourhood which showcases the British colonised buildings.

After wandering around Pune for a while covering the exquisite architecture of Shaniwar wada fort it was time to grab something to eat. So, we went to Cafe Goodluck for their famous "chai-bun-maska", and flavours to try out "chocolate cheese sandwich" at FC road. Both were one of a kind which can't be described through words until you try it on your own.

As the sun is starting to set down on our first day, we travel to our next destination on the itinerary "jewel of the Sahyadri Mountains" - Lonavala. In my opinion, there is no better way to enjoy a sunset rather than at a lake between mountains with golden glow across the sky.

As the day closes to an end, we spent our night at a camp near Pawna lake with tranquillity away from the fast paced daily life.

Day 2

We woke up to the most mesmerising view of the sunrise with utter silence which is so difficult to find nowadays. Afterwards, we kickoff with our adventure for second day to cover as much as possible around Lonavala, and Khandala.

Loin point

Initially, we went to Loin point which was little bit windy at top with the sun hitting quite hard. However, if you're planning to visit here the best season is around monsoon. Later, we went to second tourist attraction of Lonavala - Bhushi Dam. Though, it was not in that condition which we expected with less force of water coming from the Dam.

As a result, we skipped few of the spots at the Lonavala and moved to our third destination of my itinerary Khandala. To be honest, all of the mountain view points looked same other than the location from where they are viewed. Finally, we reached Monkey point at Khandala where we took some good slow mo shots of the Mumbai - Pune highway.

At 4:30 PM we boarded the train towards fourth location of our trip Mumbai - "A city that never sleeps". In contrast, the journey between Bohr ghats through train is a trip to remember with lush green mountains between Lonavala to Karjat.

Upon reaching Mumbai we checked in to our hostel Backpackers Panda at Colaba which is 350m away from Gateway of India, 3 km from Victoria Terminus, and 4 km to Marine Drive. According to me, the ideal time to explore Bombay is at night with less traffic, and colourful lights.

In order to try the authentic street food of Mumbai we went to Girgaum Chowpatty for ragda puri, pav bhaji, and sev puri. After getting our bellies full a casual stroll across the necklace road of marine drive made our night perfect.

A trip to Bombay is incomplete if you didn't visit a club which is well known for its nightlife. So, all of us at midnight proceed towards Colaba social which is right behind Taj Palace hotel.

At 1:30 AM, the vibe around Mumbai was as similar as it was during the day time with people still on the streets and taxis to take you around anywhere. We finished our second day of excursion at iconic Victoria terminus with its captivating design.

Day 3

Morning at Gateway of India with traditional Hindi sangeet sounds like a dream, but it happened on our third day.

Spending such a beautiful morning we were all set to travel once again for our final location Alibag. We took a ferry boat ride towards Mandwa Port from Gateway of India at 11:00 AM which took almost 45 min to reach the Port.

Getting off at the Mandwa port there was a direct bus to Alibag which took around 30 min. Our cab was waiting for us at the hotel to take us to the best beach of Alibag - Kashid beach. Enroute to the Kashid beach there are many different beaches alongside the main road. So, we halted at one of the coastline to visit the Nagaon beach.

Thereafter, spending some time loving the calm waves of the Arabian sea we moved forward to next beach.

The white sand of the Kashid beach which reminds me of Goa is definitely has become my favourites. If you're at a beach you should try atleast one of the water sports (Parasailing, and Banana boat).

Subsequent travelling with hard hitting waves marks the end of our third day filled by adrenaline, and joy.

Day 4

We commence our final day of the trip with a morning walk alongside Alibag beach having the view of Alibag fort. The returning ferry from Mandwa to Gateway of India was at 1:00 PM which dropped us at 2:15 PM. While all of us were waiting for the ferry we tried the famous Yevle chai at the port stand.

Our flight back to Delhi was at 9:00 PM from the Mumbai International Airport. Considering the time constraint we decided to visit the Siddhivinayak Temple at Dadar travelling through the Mumbai-ki-Jann local from CSMT.

After spending an hour at the temple it was to time to say goodbyes to this wonderful place. We took a taxi from CSMT at rush hour which took exactly 1 hour to reach airport while going through Bandra-Worli sea link.
