Bandra is a Hub of the most trendy bars , multi cuisine restaurants , stylish cafés by the day and stunning pubs by the night. Bandra is a very happening place in Mumbai for literally everything right from food to drinks to shopping and desserts.
If there's one place I can go to , time and again , it is CANDIES.
CANDIES is all about 3 Things : FOOD , MUSIC and AMBIENCE. We often visit the oldest Candies outlet , established nearly 25 years ago. It is located at Pali Hill Bandra. Candies is a little cafe with an indoor and outdoor seating. It's a three storeyed restaurant which is almost full every single day with husting and bustling of chripy crowds who come to relax , sit back and enjoy their food whilst listening to good collection of songs . It's a Gem of place with amazing interiors and art work.
Owing to their popularity , Candied have recently opened 3 more branches in Bandra and they've come a long way
Here's what I love about this place :
Candies gives the Portuguese Villa Feels with its blue and white décor and walls. It's a great spot for lunching in the nature whilst you sit on the terrace area. The tile work on the wall is simply eye catching. The whole terrace area is just perfect if you'd love to soak yourself in the sun while you brunch under the trees. The location of this place is of prime importance.
The pasta and Lasagna at Candies are two of my options whenever I want to grab a quick bite. They serve a variety of quick notes and pre-prepped dishes which are budget friendly.
Cost : Approximately Rs 180-250.
Their rolls are simply delicious often served with chips. I've tried almost everything from their menu by now. They serve a variety of rolls like the Hot Dog chicken roll , chicken ceaser roll , cheese wrap , grilled chicken roll etc. My favourite rolls here are mutton minced roll and smoked chicken roll.
Cost : Approximately Rs 80-120.
The steaks here are amazing. I love the chicken steak with mushroom sauce and the chicken cordon bleu. The Cordon bleu here is amazing prepared with grilled meat stuffed with cheese , cream and salami.
Cost : Rs 250
Desserts , because no meal is complete without a tasty Dessert. I'm a huge fan of sweets and savouries. They have a lot to offer when it comes to desserts , right from tarts to pastries to mousse to brownies and cakes. I love the lemon cheesecake , the choco lava and the dark cherry cheesecake. I highly recommend the Nougat sundae and the mini minion cake.
Cost : Approximately Rs 25-120. I
I had tried everything but Chinese. So on my recent visit here I tried their chicken Mongolian noodles and chicken Manchurian. It was pretty decent.
Cost - Approximately Rs 200-250.
They also have a variety of coolants to choose from including lemon grass cooler ,.pink lemonade, Bombay blue and fresh juices. I love the Bombay blue and the wild berry iced tea. Especially when I'm here during the humid afternoons.
Cost : Approximately Rs 60-120.
They also serve some really superb hot and cold coffees. My favourite coffees are the double shot and the Cold coffee. If you're here in the evening try the cappuccino with the French croissant and tiramisu, Thank me Later.
Cost : Rs 50- 120.
If you're choosing the indoor seating area , you will come across a quirky collection of lamps with handcrafted celebrity mosaics of celebrities and a collection of Parisienne Paintings. The seating is full of comfortable but differently sized tables and chairs. I absolutely love the glass paintings and the Moroccon lamps.
