I live in Mumbai and was tired of the the daily routine. Needed a quick trip. This time I decided to ditch my go to spot - Lonavala and explore the not so famous beach called Srivardhan in the konkan stretch.

Finally, come Saturday, I left early morning to avoid the traffic. Windows down, the sense of cool breeze, soft music, peaceful route made it worth the 5hr long drive. I did stop midway to grab a quick bite and then reached my destination in the afternoon.

Exhausted, I planned to stay in for a while until the heat subsides. In the evening, I changed into a pair of comfortable shorts and headed to the beach.

A vast coastline, the sound of the waves, birds chirping, the cool breeze and the amazing sunset ! What a view!

I walked to a spot away from the crowd and just sat there for hours looking at the sky changing colors as the sun set..

Day 2

The feeling was so peaceful that next morning, I decided to grab a blanket, a book, some snacks and head to the beach to enjoy the sunrise.

I must say, having breakfast at the beach, watching the sun rise from the sea while we listen to the waves hushing, is much better than that at a restaurant or a Cafe.

After a while, I just felt like playing with the waves like I used to when I was a kid, so I did, losing track of time. As the sun set, I realised it was time for me to go. The beautiful vacation, unfortunately had to end.

I came back home after a rejuvenating experience, feeling peaceful, with memories and a promise to go back with family and friends.
