This was work trip to Bhor. All I knew, it was a FAM (educational trip about that particular location) trip to an agro resort, Deorai Farms and Agro Resort. If you see on google maps, its somewhere around 4 hrs from Mumbai. But no my dear, the journey was much longer than expected but it was a memorable one. We left at 7.00 am in the morning and on the way we halted at Shree Dutta Vada pav in Panvel, for Mumbaiiya Vada pav and chai. Breakfast of the day.

We were a group of 9 pax divided in 2 cars. Drive to Deorai was real fun.

Straight road towards our destination took us through villages. Mr Paji was tired of driving so long and I took the risk to sit behind the wheel. Since I did not know to drive, took my own time to understand the basics about ABC ( accelerator, brake and clutch) and I drove pretty well but other 4 to 8 wheelers scared me. Nothing other than this made my day and my trip memorable. Heading further, we reached to cross River Savitri, one of 5 rivers to originate from Mahabaleshwar. Suddenly to our realization, we are a part of huge queue of cars, tempos, trucks and people waiting to cross the river.

I thought we are close to our destination, but it was another 2.5-3 hrs drive to the resort. Well, must mention this time the drive is just passing through mountains, lakes and greens.

Beauty Witnessed.

We reached Deorai Agro Resort by around 2.00 pm. We had some delicious authentic meal of Konkan. I was hungry as pig (That's a saying). Gained some energy for the day ahead.

Simple dish of authentic food.

We did start with exploring Bhor village and their tribal lifestyle and those kaccha roads. No cars, just bicycle and cows. We had to be careful of Cow dung. We reached a beautiful lake ( No one knew the name). Since we all were tired, we just sat there for long with feet in water and enjoying fish pedicure.

Honestly the trek was tiring, that's why I hate trekking. Reached the resort, relished dinner, chilling with fellow colleagues whom I was not familiar with. Being a village, there were no street lights and we all were excited to watch fireflies. It was a treat to our eyes, watching them was like Diwali lights twinkling at every corner.

Day 2

This day the plan was another trek to Mango, grapes and blueberries plantations. Of course, on the way 'selfies and pictures toh banta hai' It was mango season,'toh 2 peti mango mere liye' to Mumbai. All set to head to my MUMBAI.

By now you know me, that I am not a trek person, but those treks were work. On the way, we halted to visit this wonderful beach 'Anjarle Beach' situated in Dapoli.

The roads were narrow and twisted. At some point, we lost our way. Most times we headed to opposite direction and sometimes we reached the dead end. To reach the port, we took almost 5 hrs. It was dark and no lights on the way. Of course, we had no other choice than managing with car headlights. Once we touched Mumbai at 1.30 am, we found one 'chai tapri' to energize us and keep us awake for rest of travel. Sleep was all, I needed.

This was the story of my FAM trip. I hope you enjoyed reading.
