Day 1

It was a much needed bike trip for me and the trip and Shirdi came to me on time. The date was 28 December 2019 and I started the ride by 05:45 am from Mumbai. My family was travelling by car and I was travelling by bike accompanied by my brother. Soon we crossed Thane then got connected to NH 160  which  connects to Shirdi. It was straight long higway and I maintained a speed of 90 km/hr. By 09:00 am we stopped for having misal pav. The weather was very pleasant which made the ride easy, until a stretch came for like 20-25kms. The road took us from a village and the condition of the road was very bad. It had so many potholes that for some time I thought that my bike was going through its suspension test. It was test for my bike as well ha haha... Passing through the road I understood that my bike would sustain any road condition. We reached Shirdi by around by 01:30 as I was taking breaks on the highway for some photo session. My family reached early before us so they entered the temple early as my grandparents were also travelling. They entered through senior citizen line which made easy for them to darshan. As I reached Shirdi my phone's battery got drained and power bank whick I connected surprisingly  did not charge my phone but instead it discharged my phone.I found an travel agents office where i charged my phone and contacted my family. We entered the line and we were in the line for like 1-2 hour. We finished our darshan by 04:30 and i couldn't find my family. I had to again find a shop to charge my  phone and after charging i came to know that they had already left for Mumbai. I waited till my phone got charged sufficiently but unfortunately it was not charging properly. With 11% battery me and my brother left for Mumbai. We left Shirdi around 17:45hrs  and we were trying to find a shop which can help us with a pin so that I would put my sim card in my brothers phone. Finally we stopped at a shop drank tea and coffee and informed the family members about the scenario. From there we did not use the map instead  we followed the higway boards which  helped us. This time it was a different route. The stretch came again where there were lots of potholes on the road and ait was almost 20:00 hrs and was so dark that the potholes could be seen barely. We were cruising at a speed of 30-40 which continued for more than 25kms. After the road we entered a ghat section which was amazing . The roads were too good and the sky was so clear that we could easily spot stars and the moon. After the ghat we entered tha main highway and maintaned a speed of 80km/hr. Finally we reached home by 11:45 pm. Even though I was travelling with my family ,this trip was a kind of solo bike trip for me and it aslo  taught me to handle the situations.
