Hello! travel buddies welcome to Aurangabad, a city in Maharashtra famous for the 17th-century marble Bibi ka Maqbara shrine styled on the Taj Mahal, Daulatabad Fort, Ellora Caves, Ghrushneshwar Temple.

It'll take only 1 day to cover these places so let's explore.

You can reach Aurangabad by train/cab/flight. Aurangabad is nearer from Pune, Nashik and Mumbai.

1. Try to reach, early in the morning

Bibi ka Maqwara It is located approximately 4 km from the city centre. Timing 8:00 A.M to 8:00 P.M,

• Ticket Price 25 INR for Indians and 300 INR for Foreigners, camera charges extra. This place is really good for photoshoots, enjoy the vista of it.

2. Then off to Daulatabad/Devagiri fort.

• The fort is open from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm on all days of the week, entry fee: Indian Nationals- INR 10/- per person, Foreign Nationals- INR 100/- per person.

• Take out a good 2 to 3 hours of your time while visiting the fort. There are many good restaurants like Great Sagar, Bhoj Thali Restaurant, enjoy your dine in.

3. Ellora Caves has 34 monasteries and temples, extending over more than 2 km. Ellora complex a unique artistic creation and devoted to Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism.

• The timings for Caves are 8 in the morning till 5.30 in the evening, the entry fee for Indians is Rs 50.

• Caves 5, 10, 11 and 12 are architecturally important Buddhist caves.

• Cave 5 is unique among the Ellora caves as it was designed as a hall with a pair of parallel refectory benches in the centre and a Buddha statue in the rear.

• Caves 11 and 12 are three-storied monastery caves with idols. Notable among the Buddhist caves is Cave 10 also known as chaitya-griha (prayer house).

• At the heart of this cave is a 15-foot statue of Buddha seated in a preaching pose.

• The Hindu monuments: Caves 13–29. Rameshwar temple Cave 21, The Kailāśa temple Cave 16, The Dashavatara Cave 15, Other notable Hindu caves are the Ravan ki Khai (Cave 14) and the Nilkantha (Cave 22) At the north end of Ellora are the five Jain caves belonging to the Digambar sect.

• Particularly important Jain shrines are the Chhota Kailash (cave 30), the Indra Sabha (cave 32) and the Jagannath Sabha (cave 33).

4. Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple Grishneshwar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is one of the holiest Hindu pilgrimage sites in India. 2 k.m away from Ellora caves.

• Timings 5:30 am to 11:00 pm every day no entry fee.
