Day 1

It was our December vacation when my best friend and I were munching some chips and binge watching Netflix when we realized we really need a wine vacation together and what better place than Nashik- could it be for us, Mumbaikars. The perfect weather and the perfect decision. In nearly the next 10 minutes we booked our bus from red bus and were all set to depart the next morning to the wine land of Maharashtra.

It was the early morning of 28th December, 2018 and we had booked our a 6 a.m. bus from Andheri Bisleri factory. Both of us woke up early morning and were all set for an adventure. It was an approx 4 hour ride with a halt of around half an hour to freshen up and for some chai and snacks.

The bus dropped us at Mumbai Naka, Nashik. From there we took an auto which agreed to drop us till sula vines at approx INR 250. It was a beautiful day.

The entry fees is Inr 200 which is fully covered inside. We firstly went to freshen up a little and change.

After changing we had to eat some food as we hadn't eaten anything since the morning and it was 11 a.m. Therefore we went to their Italian restaurant to eat some amazing cheesy pizza.

The pizza was as delicious as it looks. Both of us are this huge cheesy pizza and were all set to finally explore the vineyards.

The vineyards, how can I even begin to explain how pretty that place is. Each and every corner of it is Instagram worthy and absolutely eligible of the hype. We clicked more than 100 pictures that day after which we went and got us a pass for the wine tasting experience (of course our favorite part).

Our guide was exceptionally good and shared the history of sula vineyards as well as a number of facts about wine with us. After which we went on to see the different processes how this amazing thing called wine is made. This experience is truly worth it and is an absolute must.

After seeing all of it we went forward to the most fun part, actually tasting six different varieties of wine consecutively. So first he told us about the correct way of having wine after which, one by one we tried the different wines. Each wine was completely different to the other and all of them were exceptionally good.

By the time we were done by the wine tasting it was already evening. We had two more places in our mind that we really wanted to visit in Nashik. Hence, bidding a farewell to Sula Vineyards we quickly left for Nashik backwaters.

Nashik backwaters is one of the most serene places ever. It was gorgeous and there were hardly people there. We sat there for some time talking about life and having a good time after which we left for Balaji waterfalls. This was a gorgeous waterfall right next to the Balaji temple.

The vibes of the place is something else and cannot be exclaimed in words. It's pretty and serene beyond words.
