Every place have its own beauty and uniqueness all we need is vision to see that beauty but something more special in this place cause this place inspired me to write on it. so here I'm putting some reason of why I love this place so much and also give you to make you fall for it too.
My happy place is kolthare , dapoli. kolthare is my village from my paternal side I don't forgot to mentioned this because usually maharashtrian love their maternal side village( mamach gaon) . I'm the beach person so I loveeeeee sea side Places ,don't know but sea ,waves, wide blue sky make me more happier that I've been their before and here I found another reason to love this place . In my village my house is just near to the beautiful , wide , clean sea. my home is only few minute away from the sea (kolthare beach). the wide and clean sea , fresh air, palm trees, blue sky just imagine definitely it will put little bit freshness in your mind. I have so many precious memories within this place, the place where my childhood became more happy, the place which bring my whole family together at least for some time and so many things . from my childhood i visit this place and I Ain't getting bored.
Kolthare is a small village in the Ratnagiri district, in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Kolthare is known for its beach on the Arabian Sea. kolthare is an unspoiled attraction perfect beach for nature lovers and those looking to escape the crowded vacation spots will find kolthare beach a perfect attraction.
where it is located ?
Kolthare is a village in Dapoli Taluka in the Ratnagiri District, belonging to the Konkan Division. It is located 19 km from Dapoli and 182 km from State capital Mumbai. The nearest town to the village is Dapoli Camp and the distance from Kolthare village to Dapoli Camp is 32 km. Burundi (5 km), Vanoshi T. Panchanadi (5 km), Dabhol (8 km), Veldur (9 km), Dhopawe (10 km) are also some of the closest villages.
Kolthare is surrounded by Guhagar Taluka towards the south, Khed Taluka towards the east, Mandangad Taluka towards the north, and Chipalun Taluka towards the east.
Chiplun, Mahad, Mahabaleswar, and Ratnagiri are the nearest cities to Kolthare, while also located close to the Sea.

• By Rail
The Khed Railway Station (near Khed) is the closest (10 km) railway station. The nearest major station, the Ratnagiri Railway Station, is about 83 km away. from khed railway station there are some state transport buses availble, there you will get bus from khed to dapoli .
From dapoli kolthare is distance - 55km -60 km time- 2: 30hrs away. there are rikshaws and taxis are also availble for hire.
• By Road
Khed is the only nearby town to have road connectivity to Kolthare. dapoli lies on the national highway that connects mumbai -goa. the best way to reach dapoli is via road as ST buses that have daily commute that is exciting and refreshing. you also can go by your personal car.

Attractions
Clean and wide sea , lord shiva temple (koleshwar mandir) and some other god/goddess temple. if your are intersted in maharashtrian food, locality (speacially kokani food) then this place is best.
• Shopping - here ,fruits like coconut , mango, kokam and even syrup ,juices you will find in good quality , to get this walk over to street straight from lord shiva temple (koleshwar mandir).if you are looking for fresh fish and crabs then this place is best.
• Food- fish and crabs , fruits, pickle and kokam juice, dried kokam, amsul ,kokam agal are tourist attraction .you will get also many ingredients which is also used in spicy foods. mango, jackfruit and its product in summer season.

Budget hotels are available which is near by beach and they are reasonable.
Few Tips
■ Make sure the shopkeeper in the village don't make you fool.
■ Don't feel offended when the people in village behave rudely.
■ Carry cash instead of cards.
■ Carry more clothes and first aid box.
■ If want to avoid the crowds go between 8am to 3pm .
■ Aim for sunset, that view is amazing.
AVOID PLASTIC AND THE THINGS WHICH CREATE POLLUTION, BECAUSE SO MANY PEOPLE THROW GARBAGE AND WALK AWAY INSTEAD OF DISPOSING IT , SO HUMBLE REQUEST PLEASE DON'T DO ANYTHING . THIS PLACE IS FAMOUS FOR CLEAN SEA SO MAKE SURE YOU WILL NOT SPOIL THE BEAUTY AND UNIQUENESS OF THIS PLACE.
