Kolad river rafting

As the weekend  approached , me and my cousins were all geared up  for  some fun   adventurous  water activity. We  started browsing the internet , searched all over the social media and finally we ended up in river rafting as none of us have experienced that .We all were thrilled just by reading  the blogs and watching videos that we badly wanted to do it. But then again we were stuck which place should we go ??? Then we came across river rafting in Kolad .

There are many river rafting groups in Kolad out of which you can opt for a reasonable one , we opted for Kundalika Rafting (http://www.kundalikarafting.in/). We hired a car and left Mumbai at around 5 a.m since we needed to reach the campsite at 8:30 a.m according to the instruction given to us .

As said more than the destination the journey that you take is more beautiful  , the mesmerizing scenery was indeed very enthralling  and the more you get  closer to the campsite  , you can see the river  beside the road .To find the campsite it is a bit difficult( I am uploading a pic of a nearby areas from where you can identify the campsite ) but you can still manage by asking the locals or you can also call up the administration if you have a good range in your mobile.  They have different packages so you can go and check their website.

The rafting starts after the dam is opened and  we were given instruction by the experts about how we should be prepared for any incident while rafting and how to position ourselves and gears are provided . Even though we went at this point of time there was good amount of water for rafting and  after  an hour or two the instructor even allowed us to swim which was all together more fun .
