Into the wild - Pench Tiger Reserve

We then got onto the pre booked cab and headed towards our resort - Mowgli's Paradise and then changed and freshened up before we left for our night safary!

We took a walk around the premises in the evening and spotted quite a few birds which we hadn't seen before!

The jungle is usually noisy in the night and we were lucky to experience that in the night along with the cold wind in our hair.

We boarded the 8.15 pm Mumbai to Nagpur Duronto Express and were lucky to reach Nagpur the next morning and be greeted with a drop in temperature!

The next day we had to be up early once again to be able to spot different animals! We were lucky to catch a sight of the spotted deer, the sambar, different kinds of birds, wild boar and the bison! However still no tiger or leopard in sight.

We then came back, showered and had our lunch and got ready for the afternoon ride to the forest. This time around everyone was resting and there wasn't much of an opportunity to see animals.

We then returned to our hotel had our dinner and rested earlier than usual as we had to get up early the next morning!

The next day we were up and about early in the morning but the hotel staff totally forgot about our existence and didn't give us breakfast or tea! We had to wait till it finally arrived and then we headed to the check in gate! This time around we saw quite a few animals but once again we couldn't see the tiger!

We then came back to the hotel, changed and then packed our bags and got ready to head back to Nagpur.

Our taxi arrived at 2 pm and we got to Nagpur by 4 pm and then had some snacks before heading to the waiting room for our train was only at 8 pm in the evening.

That's when I was lucky to witness Pavitra Rishta on screen and that filled me up with joy!

We then boarded our train and headed towards Mumbai.

We reached Mumbai by 8 am and headed back home by 9. This was a memorable getaway to nature that I am extremely grateful for.
