Day 1

We boarded the train to Secunderabad that halts at Aurangabad from Dadar which was to reach at 9.43 pm but came only by 9.52 pm. We then caught up on all the gossip we had missed out on. On this trip, we had Shanti, her daughter Nirvi, Priyanka, Kusum and her mom Kesarbai.

Day 2

We reached the Aurangabad Station at 4.48 am and then headed to the rickshaw stand to catch a rickshaw or rather a Tuk Tuk and he charged us INR 1800 for an entire day's trip around Aurangabad from Grineshwar Jyotirlinga to Ganpati Mandir to Daulatabad Fort to Ellora Caves and finally Bibi Ka Maqbara.

We started off by taking a room for INR 500 and getting ready for our temple visit. We reached the temple by 8 am and were done with the Darshan in 30 minutes! We were charged INR 70 for the Prasad which I didn't take but my friends did and the men weren't allowed to wear shirts inside this temple.

Mobile Phones and personal belongings were also not allowed inside so we left them in the rickshaw.

We then went to the Ganpati Temple which was super easy to visit as the ladies had a separate Darshan place and there was no queue at all. We were done in 5 minutes flat. My friends bought some Prasad and I didn't.

We then went to the Ellora Caves and were asked to check out cave 15 and 16 but we only saw Cave 16 because we were too tired. The cave was a monolithic structure with carvings from Mahabharata and Ramayan and various deities from Hindu Mythology.

We then headed to the Handloom House and Saree Shop and Shanti shopped for 3 sarees- Two Himroos One Silk.

We then halted for lunch and had Paneer Tikka, Veg Maratha and Roti along with Chaas. We then headed to Daulatabad Fort and after a 30 minutes trek my friends gave up, so Shanti, her daughter and I trekked to the top of the fort and came down by 5 pm.

We then headed to the Bibi Ka Maqbara which was a tomb and clicked amazing pictures! The weather had been fine throughout and it didn't rain at all! The Weather Gods supported us so well.

After that we left our rickshaw at the station and had a Chinese Meal at the Restaurant. It included Fried Rice, Hakka Noodles and Dry Manchurian. We then headed back to the station to board our train which was to arrive at 9.25 pm!

We boarded our train and reached Mumbai City at 5.00 am taking back with us a bag full of memories!

Here are some pictures to describe the lovely day!
