Camping at Bhandardara on 7th & 8th March with Mapping Journeys! (Holi Weekend)

Offering much-needed solitude and some peace and quiet, on the weekend of Holi every place is a crowded mess.
We decided to be away from the crowd this time around.
Our Campsite at the Bhandardara Lake is one such place. Tranquil and Quiet.

About Bhandardara
Bhandardara is situated close to Igatpuri in the Western Sahyadris. The village is located in the Ahmednagar district of the state of Maharashtra, about 185 kilometers from Mumbai.
Bhandardara sits by the Pravara River, and is a blend of natural beauty, waterfalls, mountains and greenery.

Itinerary:
Day 1
Catch the CST - Kasara Bound Train
12:28pm - CST
12:41pm - Dadar
12:48pm - Kurla
01:10pm - Thane
01:42pm - Kalyan
02:52pm - Kasara

03:00pm - Everyone Meets and Leave towards Campsite
05:00pm - Reach Bhandardara and Freshen Up
06:00pm - Set up Tents and Begin with Activities
09:00pm - Dinner talks!

Post Dinner, we'll get our cameras out for some fun light painting sessions (Yes, this will get your new Facebook DP covered) and ofcourse, there will be Campfire! (Our version of the Holi Bonfire)

Day 2:
07:00am: Wake up for the sunrise
08:00am: Get served with warm breakfast
09:30am: Holi hai! Holi is incomplete without colors and some dancing, right?
12:30pm: Bid Goodbye to the campsite! Head for the station.
02:30pm: Catch a return train to Mumbai

Cost: Rs. 1550/- per person

Transport from Kasara Station and back
