The Lesser Know Place - Boota Pathri

Bota Pathri is just at a distance of 11 kms from Gulmarg but even being quiet near, most of the people are unaware about this place. I find this place more beautiful than gulmarg. The only place where you can find water or streams in this region is bota pathri. To visit this place you need to get the pass from tourist office which is on the way to bota Pathri. You will see that on the right side and you just havr to pay 20Rs for the pass. Heavy vehicles and bikes are not allowed.
Its not allowed to go ahead of Bota Pathri because of security reasons as there are many military camps there. There are very few houses there and mostly Gujars live there. They have beautiful made their houses of mud. After reaching there you can have a nice horse ride and you can see the whole area on a horse. Horse riding is must there. I would highly recommend this place. People visiting Gulmarg have to just cover 9 kms more to see this wonderful place.
