Many go to Maharashtra, mainly Mumbai, with a dream and the goal to fulfil it. But the state also hosts numerous dreamy destinations that you can visit, especially during the monsoon. Here is a list of some -
1) Lonavala
If we are talking about monsoon and Maharashtra, avoiding Lonavala is almost impossible! The charm of this popular hill station doubles after a downpour and it serves you with a cool and picturesque atmosphere. Located between Mumbai and Pune, the road leading to Lonavala is a smooth journey. It is also very well-connected in terms of public transportation. Lonavala is the favourite weekend getaway spot for many in Maharashtra and it is totally WORTH the hype. The flora is livelier and seems right out of a movie scene in the monsoon. You can explore thrilling hilltops, enthralling caves and spellbinding waterfalls on a weekend retreat to Lonavala. What’s more? This jewel of Sahyadri has an interesting history too. Once upon a time, it was ruled by Yadav Dynasty and then by Mughals before it was governed by Marathas and Peshwas.
