Ganpati Bappa Moraya ...  In hindus if we start anything new, we take lord ganesha blessings by chanting his name. I am sharing my first travel experience on internet. First destination on my list is Ganpatipule which situated at southern coastal area of Maharashtra and is also known as Kokan. Kokan seashore is the major part of Arabian sea. Ganpatipule is a renowned travel destination and is mainly visited for the Ganesha Temple which is located by the beach. You can reach there by railway or roadway. I prefer travelling by road, Mumbai Goa Highway, which is approx 340 kms from mumbai. Road conditions are bad upto Mangaon afterwards they are good. Bcos of tourist destination you get so many hotels, dormitories and resorts. If you're seafood lover this place has good food joints to satisfy your taste buds. MTDC (Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation) has good beach facing resort near the temple. Best days to visit this place are weekdays, as weekends are very crowded. I prefer to stay at Malgund which is 4kms from Ganpatipule. My favorite place to stay is Sagar Darshan Beach Resort. This place has good rooms, food and private beach where you can enjoy every moment of nature with your loved ones. Ratnagiri is major hub or capital of costal Maharashtra and is located 20kms away from Ganpatipule. Drive to Ratnagiri thru coastline route is awesome experience. Kokan is famous for cashew nuts, alphonso mango, kokam, beetle nut, coconut.. Anyone is looking for peace, relaxation, beaches, foodies, Kokan provides a complete package for them.
