Dodhani Village to Matheran Trek
A one day affair.
Booked a cab. Picked all trek member enroute to Dodhani Village, Panvel.
Reached Dodhani about 9.30 am. Vehicle and driver stayed back in Dodhani while we proceeded with the trek after a short snack.
The route is steep climb. Took us nearly 3 hrs to reach Matheran.
Lunch at Matheran followed by a little bit of shopping. Enjoyed the natural beauty and sights offered at this beautiful hill station located in Maharashtra, close to Mumbai. Ideal for weekend getaways.
Started our downward trek at 4.30pm. reached back by 7.00 pm. It is better to start downward journey before sunsets as some section of the trek are steep and risky.
Alternate is to go down to Neral, from where local train is available to Mumbai
