Amazing Trip to the Bhaje Caves (Lonavala)

We were going to Bhaje Caves.This location is 64 km far from Pune. We traveled there with bikes.
It took around 1-1:30 hours to reach there.
This trip is before the monsoon starts, therefore you can't see greenery in the photos.

Bhaja Caves is a group of  rock-cut caves dating back to the 2nd century BC located in the city of Pune, India. The caves are 400 feet above the village of Bhaja,on an important ancient trade route running from the Arabian Sea eastward into the Deccan Plateau (the division between North India and South India).The inscriptions and the cave temple are protected as a Monument of National Importance, by the Archaeological Survey of India per Notification No. 2407-A.It belongs to the Early Buddhist schools in Maharashtra.The caves have a number of stupas, one of their significant features.

Once we reached there.We climbed some stairs to the caves. This an ancient heritage of India, so government of India charges rs25 per head for visit.

This is one day trip from Pune to Bhaje caves (Lonavala).
