Sitting at home and working and trying to peep outside windows. We come across with a flashback of old memories. It gave me a thought of bunking office on a weekday and going on a trek with your closed once. Monsoons are meant to be on Sahyadri mountains for hiking.
Once the monsoon hits, June month is started, various group organise weekend trek events, one day events at forts to sahyadri regions and your calendar is flooded with such weekend events. Out of the all the treks, I have done so far, my best one was trek "Rajmachi fort".
It was in 2011, when I went for Rajmachi trek with a group of 10-20 people. Me and my friend never knew how trek would be. "bus weekend hain to jaana hain!!!
We left early morning on Saturday and started off the trek. I remember it was 9. 00 am in the morning when we actually started ascending. It was continuously raining and we were walking, in between climbing the small rocks, taking halts to be with the group. I assumed that in 3-4 hours will reach the top as normally a trek is for that much time, but this trek was like we where walking for almost 3-4 hours and destination has not arrived.
We retire for the day by having a lovely staple food. I remember next day we where about to explore the two twins, which was not my cup of tea.. So I was relaxing gearing myself to descend. It was raining, we anyhow descended with all bruises on our bodies.
Now reaching Rajmachi has been made convenient, the routes are properly developed and its hassle free. But might be there will be crazy people like me who will take such route and enjoying the journey with some adventure.
All that memories are just floating in my head. making friends, gossiping, singing songs!! OMG what a lovely night it was.
I don't know this quarantine will be flashback of my past years, how I spent on traveling, build my career, all ups and downs I have faced, news challenges, etc., Thats life and I am just loving it. I have won half of my battle. Rest yet to win!!
Good night people. #staysafe #stayhealthy
While inquiring with the lead trekker on how much time we will reach, they have normal tone of telling " We will reach in five minutes" or Inka 5 minute kabhi aata nahi hain!! 😔
But this trek was different, with dense forest and with many small and big waterfalls, it just made us to forget time. Whenever we used to see a small hut, we had a happiness knowing that we reach, but no boss!! Rajmachi trek was not easy bro!!! I think, I may be wrong, but if I recollect there where almost 3-6 plateaus and finally we made it. We reached our main destination around 6 pm and yes it was heavily raining. We dumped are luggage and just fall off!
I was flabbergasted, people stay there at such top, though now it's easy to explore but that time it was difficult to get in there. Villagers staying there used to preserve foods stuff in a still rooms so that they do not have to go miles to bring food on and off basis.
We then relaxed for a while and then strolled around near by forts and jungles. However it had stopped raining, but still there was slight drizzle.
