Vande Bharat, a semi-high-speed train with a permissible speed limit of 120 km/hr, is the first train of the Vande Bharat franchise to be flagged off at Madgaon Railway Station tomorrow on the Mumbai-Goa route. This meeting will be attended by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Goa's chief minister, Pramod Sawant, and will be virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, June 3rd.
On Saturday, the train's debut run would see it depart from Madgaon Railway Station at 10.45 a.m. and arrive at Mumbai's Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) at 6.30 p.m. This is the nation's 19th Vande Bharat train overall, the fourth in Mumbai, and the first in Goa.
The major goal of the train is to reduce travel time between the two connections by over an hour when compared to the present high-speed Tejas Express.
Duration and Halts For The Train
The Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express would run six days a week except for Friday. The train will leave CSMT at 5.25 a.m. and arrive in Madgaon at 1.15 p.m. It will leave Madgaon, Goa, at 2.35 p.m. and return to CSMT at 10.25 p.m. The train will travel 586 km and make 11 stops, including those at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Khed, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, and Thivim between the two connections.
Vande Bharat Express Amenities
This express includes sliding doors, LED illumination, and 360° rotating seats to provide a clear view of the Kokan Railways, much like every other Vande Bharat express operating in the nation. Special consideration is given to those with impairments.
Ticket Prices
Although the final plan has not yet been made public, tickets for AC chair cars can cost between Rs. 1,100 and 1,600, while those for executive chair cars can cost between Rs. 2,000 and 2,800. Starting next week, the train will depart regularly.
In Maharashtra, the Vande Bharat Express currently runs on the routes Mumbai-Shirdi, Mumbai-Solapur, Mumbai-Gandhinagar, and Nagpur-Bilaspur.
