Vande Bharat, a semi-high-speed train with a permissible speed limit of 120 km/hr, is the first train of the Vande Bharat franchise to be flagged off at Madgaon Railway Station tomorrow on the Mumbai-Goa route. This meeting will be attended by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Goa's chief minister, Pramod Sawant, and will be virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, June 3rd.

On Saturday, the train's debut run would see it depart from Madgaon Railway Station at 10.45 a.m. and arrive at Mumbai's Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) at 6.30 p.m. This is the nation's 19th Vande Bharat train overall, the fourth in Mumbai, and the first in Goa.

The major goal of the train is to reduce travel time between the two connections by over an hour when compared to the present high-speed Tejas Express.
