Mahabaleshwar is a hill town has many breathtaking locations, panaromic views, strawberries in abundance - a delight to watch.
We recently took a 1N/2D trip from Pune using private cab service with an overnight stay in a resort at Mahabaleshwar.
Route : Pune-Panchgani-Mahabaleshwar (2.5hrs drive).
Mahabaleshwar has a pleasant weather, so you can take bus/car/bike, but few areas are dusty so we preferred cab service.

Note - We didn't cover many places, since we had visited Mahabaleshwar for having some leisure time with friends.

Sri Balaji Mandir - On the way to Panchgani
Panchgani Table Land - Exuberant green hills, horse ride and delicious hot pakoras in pleasant drizzling weather.
Mapro Garden - Strawberries grow in abundance and snacks to munch on.
Travel tips :
1. Carry enough cash because most of the places don't have network coverage.
2. Wear comfortable clothes - It rains suddenly and weather is mostly cold.
3. Take a stroll and enjoy the beauty of the town.
